The Slandering Tongue - Day 10 "30 Days to Taming Your Tongue"

  • Slanders are people who make malicious, false, or even true statements about other with the intent of damaging the reputation, character or good name
  • Spout detracting remarks
  • Often because the person envy's or has pain from being hurt from them
  • Some people are insecure and easily threatened and feel the need to slander their competition to secure their own
  • Yahweh has secured our destiny and has promised to avenge all wrongs against you
  • No need to rely on your own means
(Proverbs 10:18 The Scriptures 1998+)  He who hides hatred has lying lips, And he who sends out a slander is a fool.
We have to be careful about saying slanderous statements about people, especially on social media. That post will be seen by many people, and every person who sees it now has a negative vision of the person you slandered. Now every time they think of that person they think of the negative thing you said. Even jokes are slander. Every time someone reads that comment, that is another sin against your neighbor.
(Proverbs 30:10 The Scriptures 1998+)  Do not slander a servant to his master, Lest he curse you, And you be found guilty.
Be careful what you say in the workplace. Do not slander a co-worker to the boss. You are ruining their livelihood. You might be stealing how they make money by ruining their reputation at work. The warning is that your co-worked may curse you and you be found guilty. It will come to bite you in the butt.
(Ephesians 4:31-32 The Scriptures 1998+)  (31)  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and displeasure, and uproar, and slander be put away from you, along with all evil.  (32)  And be kind towards one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as Elohim also forgave you in Messiah.
