The Manipulating Tongue - Day 7 "30 Days to Taming Your Tongue"

  • Manipulation is crafty use of the tongue and a self-perpetuation vice
    • - in order to achieve an objective
  • Tactics of a manipulating tongue
    • - guilt trips
    • - portraying as innocent
    •  - "suffering victim"
  • Discernment needs to be used to detect manipulation
  • Manipulators loose all credibility when they get caught
  • That person would be judged as having ulterior motives
  • Those people need to be confronted
  • Manipulation is the practice of the Adversary
(Genesis 3:1 The Scriptures 1998+)  And the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which YHWH Elohim had made, and he said to the woman, “Is it true that Elohim has said, ‘Do not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
(Job 5:8-13 The Scriptures 1998+)  (8)  But as for me, I would seek El, and I would submit my case to Elohim,  (9)  who is doing great and unsearchable deeds, innumerable wonders,  (10)  who is giving rain on the earth’s face, and is sending waters on the field’s face;  (11)  to set the lowly on high, and those who mourn shall be lifted to safety,  (12)  thwarting the schemes of the crafty, so that their hands do not work effectively;  (13)  catching the wise in their own craftiness, and the counsel of schemers are swept away.
Job 5:8-13 is a warning to the manipulators. Yahweh will thwart your manipulative schemes. We do not want our behavior to be similar to the Adversary. We need to be on guard and test every action to the Will or Torah of Yahweh. Yahweh will not lead you into a trap. Follow His commands and you will not be tricked by a manipulator. If you find yourself being tempted into crafting your own will. Be warned Yahweh will cause your plan to go awry. Yahweh cannot be tricked. Do not trick others.
Proverbs 4:24-27 RNKJV  Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.  (25)  Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.  (26)  Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.  (27)  Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
