The Flattering Tongue - Day 2 "30 Days to Taming Your Tongue"

I am doing a study on "30 Days to Taming Your Tongue". Come along with me as we look at how we can honor Yahushua with the words we say.

This study is based on the book "30 Days to Taming you Tongue" by

What I will be writing here is notes I have from when I read the book. It is designed to give you an overview of major points in that day's lesson, and other commentary from my own reflection.

The Flattering Tongue - Day 2

  • People flatter to get favors in return
  • Favor is a benefit from Yahweh - of being in right standing with Him
  • The Children of Yahweh do not need to resort to any form of self effort
  • Yahweh destroys those skilled at flattery
  • Flattery's motive is to gain favor in the one they flatter
    • - Gain material tangible  stuff
    • - Gain intangible stuff like acceptance
  • Favor is a fringe benefit of being in right standing with our creator
    • - Not gained by flattery
  • The children of the Most High never had to resort to any form of self effort in  order to ingratiate themselves for gain or survival
  • When you flatter your words will wilt and loose all impact
(Psalm 5:12) For Surely, Oh Yahweh, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
(Psalms 12:3 RNKJV)  YHWH shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
Romans 2:1-8 Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of Yahweh's mercy to offer your bodies as  living sacrifices Kodesh (holy) and pleasing to Yahweh - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Yahweh's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will
[The following was taken from the journal when I did this study many years ago]

I have offered my self as a living sacrifice to Yahweh and I feel like his is revealing his Will to me, yet it is getting confusing. Is it really the truth? "Do not conform to the pattern of the world" but I also have to obey my parents. What should I do? It says test and approve Yahweh's will which is where I am; I am trying to find out what is the Will of Yahweh for me. Yahweh please give me clarity and discernment.

[Current Live Commentary about my past]

There was a time in my life where I was searching for the Will of Yahweh. In the christian churches they teach about the Will of Yahweh. They teach about this "mystical" Will. Like Yahweh himself will tell you exactly what to do with your life. What job to take or what education to take. I learned later that scripture tells us what the Will of Yahweh is. You can read about it in my Facebook note click here to read it.

I do know that it was a very critical moment in my life when I decided to honor my parents when choosing a spouse for myself. How could I be doing the Will of Yahweh if they did not approve of the guy I was dating. I severed that relationship and I am happy that I did. Yahweh had BETTER plans for me and gave me the man of my dreams Christopher Morgan.

So how does all this relate to the Flattering tongue? Well I assume some people may flatter you to get what they want? It is manipulative. I would assume the guy I was dating was flattering me to manipulate me to look over all his faults. Yahweh wants to speak truth to your life. He wants you to speak truth in other people's lives. You might be disrupting the Will of Yahweh by using the flattering tongue. Yahweh likes people's faults to be exposed. He wants to mold us and shape us so that His Name will be glorified. Not your name.

The Lying Tongue - Day 1 "30 Days to Taming Your Tongue"

I am doing a study on "30 Days to Taming Your Tongue". Come along with me as we look at how we can honor Yahushua with the words we say.

This study is based on the book "30 Days to Taming you Tongue" by

What I will be writing here is notes I have from when I read the book. It is designed to give you an overview of major points in that day's lesson. And other commentary from my own reflection.

Day 1 The Lying Tongue

  • Any intent to deceive is a lie period.
  • Half truths
  • Exaggerating: a person stretches the truth to make something sound more believable, but then he looses his credibility, because he exaggerates
    • Also makes the person we are talking about loose pride in the truth of their behavior

Some times we like to exaggerate, and we think it is a good thing. We are just saying the "truth" but just magnifying it...But what impression does this give to someone. Did the bible exaggerate? I sure hope not. I take the bible as literal accounts. Did David really obtain 200 foreskins?
(1 Samuel 18:27 RNKJV)  Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.
I believe the bible tells the story true, without exaggerating. If we exaggerate a story about a person, we actually end up hurting them than exhaling them. If we told this story and said David obtained 300 foreskins, then we would act like the real 200 wasn't enough. This would make David feel inferior. Like his deeds weren't enough for the story to have an impact on the readers.

Even when telling stories, try to abstain from the lying tongue and do not exaggerate.

Feeling Faith Fact

by Unknown

Three men were walking on the wall
Feeling Faith and Fact
Feeling took an awful fall
Faith was taken back
Only Fact remain
Then Fact pulled up Faith
Faith pulled up Feeling
And they walked on the wall again

Just Wait

By Unknown

Everyone Longs to give themselves completely to someone.
To have a deep soul relationship with another,
To be loved thoroughly and exclusively.
But YHWH says to his children,
No, not until you are satisfied, fulfilled and content with being loved by me alone,
Discovering that only in me is your satisfaction to be found -will you be capable of
The perfect human relationship that I have planned for you.
You will never be perfectly united with another until you are united with me  -
Exclusively of anyone else,
Exclusive of any other desires or longings.
I want you to stop planning.
Stop wishing,
And allow me to give you the most thrilling plan existing,
One that you cannot even imagine.
I want you to have the best.
Please allow me to bring it to you.
You just keep watching me, expecting the greatest things.
Keep listening and hearing the things I tell you.
You just wait
That's all.
Don't be anxious,
Don't worry.
Don't look around at the things that others have gotten or that I have given them.
Don't look at the thing you think you want.
Just keep looking off and away up at me.
Or you will miss what I have to show you.
And then, when you’re ready, ill surprise you with a love far more wonderful than
any you would have ever dreamed of.
You just wait, until you are ready and until you are ready and until one I have for you is ready.
I am working even at this moment to have both of you ready at the same time.
Until you are both satisfied exclusively with me, and the life I prepared for you,
You won't be able to experience the love that exemplifies your relationship with
me….
The Perfect Love.

There Is No Room For Sadness

"There is no room for sadness in heart that has Yahushua,
There is no room for sadness in the heart that loves Yahweh
I sing with great joy I sing of his goodness
there is no room for sadness in the heart that loves Yahweh"

Listen to the song "There's No Room For Sadness" by Hillel Ben Yochanan  https://soundcloud.com/hillel70/theres-no-room-for-sadness

I was depressed for many months. I isolated myself. I was captive to my bed. I was stuck in the muck of my sheets. I did nothing but stay in bed browse the internet, go to work. I neglected my school work. I even neglected hygiene and house chores. I was in a bad place.

I last semester in the fall I was majorly manic. I think the depression is the result of crashing from that episode. The doctors tried to fight it with some antidepressants, but they weren't working. I finally got a new doctor who knew which medicine to use, and it brought  me out of the depression right away. It actually brought me in a state of hypomania. which means I was hyper. My body wanted less sleep and I was talking fast and had an elevated mood. It was not full blown manic though, because I was still on my meds. I wasn't having delusions or hallucinations.

But back to talking about spirituality.

What I can testify is that my bipolar disorder is very spiritual. Every time I have been manic I have been extremely spiritual. There must be some scientific explanation for this. I want to do research on this topic, maybe for my PhD.

When I was in the mental hospital there were other people who were also very spiritual. It goes both way though too.... it could be a spirit of Yahweh or it could be an evil spirit that is in charge of the person who has the mental illness. From my observations and from my own experience, I believe that people when mental illness have a heightened sensitivity to spiritual beings.

It is very interesting.

So back to the song "There Is No Room For Sadness" When I heard this song I was touched. Because the message is so true. Yahushua loves us so much! We have so much to be thankful for! No matter what the circumstances in our lives there is no reason why we should not be rejoicing over the fact that Yahushua has SAVED us from DEATH!

That is all there is to it. We are alive! That is something to rejoice about! I AM ALIVE BECAUSE YAHUSHUA DIED FOR ME!!! HALEUYAH!!!

I can now commune with Yahweh! HALEUYAH!

Breakthrough!

HaleuYAH! I had a breakthrough!

I was able to have a spiritual prayer. A two way conversation, where I was able to hear from Yahweh and talk back. :-)

I also had a revelation from Luke ch 1.
The chapter is about Zeḵaryah and Elisheḇa
7And they had no child, because Elisheḇa was barren, and both were advanced in years.

The angel Gaḇri’ĕl appears to Zeḵaryah and says his wife will have a son and his name will be Yoḥanan (John). Zeḵaryah did not believe it would happen so the angel caused Zeḵaryah to become mute.
Then the angel Gaḇri’ĕl appears to Marry and foretells the birth of Yahushua.
31“And see, you shall conceive in your womb, and shall give birth to a Son, and call His Name יהושע.a
Once Yoḥanan is born everyone is amazed. Especially when Zeḵaryah can speak again and prophesied.

The story is about miracles. It is about one man not believing in a miracle, yet it happens.
I have bipolar disorder and what I get from this story is that a miracle can happen and I can be cured of bipolar disorder and one day I will not have to be on medication. I do not know what that will look like. I might be using a natural remedy or I may just learn to manage my symptoms very well, but however it will come to happen I believe It will come to pass.

I do not think it will happen right away. I believe there is a season in my life for which I need to be on medication. That season is now. Since I was diagnosed at age of 14 I have been on medication, and I have been very stable on the medication (albeit some hiccups). I have been successful in my education, being awarded both a high school diploma and a bachelors of science in psychology with a minor in art. And I am currently applying to attend school to seek my masters in counseling. I believe there is a career for me in counseling and I believe I could possibly make a mark in the field of psychology pertaining bipolar disorder. But to accomplish those things I need to be stable. And right now being stable means taking my medication and sleeping properly. This is my testimony for the season: being stable on bipolar meds and having an accomplished career.

I expect there will be a day when I will be able to have the testimony of being off medication and living life to the fullest in honor of Yahweh. Living as a clean vessel as He created me.

12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of , that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, set-apart, acceptable unto , which is your reasonable service.
12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of .

Not feeling it.

I believe I am in a rut. I missed church for almost a month. I haven't really been praying on my own. or reading the bible on my own. It is just kind of barren right now.
1O יהוה, hear my prayer, And let my cry come to You.
2Do not hide Your face from me In the day of my distress; Incline Your ear to me; In the day I call, answer me speedily.
3For my days are consumed like smoke, And my bones are burned like a hearth.
4My heart is stricken and withered like grass, For I have forgotten to eat my bread.
5Because of the sound of my sighing My bones have cleaved to my flesh.
6I have been like a pelican of the wilderness, I have been like an owl of the desert.
7I have watched, and I am As a bird alone on the house-top.
...
16For יהוה shall build up Tsiyon, He shall appear in His esteem.
17He shall turn unto the prayer of the destitute, And He shall not despise their prayer.
I look back at the post I made on Nov 16. 2009 about the Spirit and it ironic, because it reflects exactly how I feel now. Although it was good for me to go back into the study in prayer, I was lacking the Rouch Quodesh (Spirit) while I was doing it. There are two sides of me very methodological, and then a very spiritual side any other time its just blank. When I am methodological I can sometimes miss the spirit behind it and get caught up in the doing. It is a great state of mind for learning,  but can be lacking in spiritual matters. It is also like reading a diet book, you can read as many diet books as you want, but unless you actually follow the diet and change what you eat it is all just knowledge that doesn't help.

Next I need to really hunker down and get active in my spiritual life. I need to pray and read scripture in a way that applies it to my life.
